For example this woman, she builds solar cookers, but has no experience with pads, well, she went from Europe to US and there decided to buy a couple of horses, an adult and a baby horse and acquired saddles for both, as advised by the local experts. When they came back to Europe with the horses and the saddles, the local trainers told her that what she purchased, the standard Western saddles, were not good for the horses, didn't fit right. The fact is that the adult horse has been traumatized previously to buying him, his back hair was almost white because of the bad riding habits of the previous owner, and the horse didn't want to let anybody put the saddle on without struggling.

The woman has asked people involved in saddle making, in Germany, what would be the solution for her problem and the experts told her to make a custom saddle for her horse. After researching and testing the market, she understood the prices were not low at all for custom Western saddles so she kept on looking around.

After a short while she stumbled upon an endurance saddle pad she saw on the internet, discussed with local trainer about acquiring one for her horse and so she did. To her surprise, after buying it, everything fit in, the horse suddenly started to love the saddle and didn't sweat anymore. This was a surprise, because prior to buying that pad, the horse was sweating big time.

After seeing the result with the adult, the women decided to buy one of those wonder pads for the saddle of the baby horse and she was more than happy with the result. She saved a lot of money, because buying two custom Western saddles wouldn't have been cheap at all. I wonder, however, how many people are out there that didn't find out about them and now struggle with the idea of spending big money on buying expensive custom equipment. I liked that much the story of that lady that I have decided to tell it to you too here, who knows, maybe you find yourself in the same position with a horse that was not correctly trained to wear the equipment and maybe at this moment you are looking for a solution to make the horse wear the saddle without problems. Or maybe the saddle doesn't fit on your horse. Who knows, maybe this is not the solution for you, but definitively you should look into it.
